The College of Education has a long history of adding value to Minnesota. Our programs have provided teachers, counselors, and education leaders in many roles, creating one of the most stable and high quality school workforces in the world. The College continues to adapt to offer the preparation, on-going professional development, and support necessary for schools and educators to continue to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Our programs, services, and research endeavors include new emphases on language learning, literacy, and technology, as well as assessment systems, leadership development, and new models of schooling for our vast diversity of learners.
The College continues to be a strong investment for Minnesota by focusing most on taking responsibility for the success of children, families, and communities through our work in and with our school partners. Though our history has been rich, it is hard to imagine a time when we have been more energetic and inspired by our mission, vision, and by the fit of our programs with real needs in our region.
