Thank you for visiting the Web site for the College of Education here at Minnesota State Mankato.
By exploring these pages you'll quickly discover that we don't stop at creating
fantastic teachers, counselors, and leaders. We are directly engaged in ensuring
the success of students and schools throughout Minnesota, thereby creating stronger
communities and brighter futures for everyone. In the College of Education,
that responsibility is embedded in our educational mission and our
working relationships with schools.
In partnering with districts around the state, our student teachers learn room by room,
face to face. This connection is vital to our goal of serving students and creating exceptional
educators. The College also houses outstanding resources such as our centers for
engaged leadership, school-university partnerships, and mentoring and induction.
We are committed to helping teachers, counselors, and leaders remain up to date,
effective and encouraged in their vital roles.
Additionally, the College serves as a unique source of news, data and research to aid
working teachersand decision-makers in school districts. You will find many of those
resources here on our Web site, including our new Third Thursday Webinar series.
Every classroom is full of futures, and the College of Education is taking responsibility
for those futures to flourish. Prepared today for tomorrow's demands, our graduates
enter schools ready to embrace a diverse and changing society with a principled,
experienced and enthusiastic approach to education. The College continues to be a
strong investment for Minnesota by taking responsibility for the success of children,
families, and communities through our work in and with our school partners.
Though our history has been rich, it is hard to imagine a time when we have been
more energetic and inspired by our mission, vision, and by the fit of our programs
with real needs in our region.
Through your involvement and support, you can be a part of our growth.
