After assessing the results of your DST essay written during the writing assessment lab, the College of Education and the Center for Academic Success may require that you seek writing assistance. Such assistance will help you achieve the proficient writing skills demanded in the teaching profession for which you are preparing.
Please visit Clint at the Center for Academic Success (CAS) in Memorial Library 0125, or email her at coewritingplus@gmail.com to complete a writing contract before attending a workshop. Failure to fulfill a contract before the end of this semester will result in a registration hold on next semester’s Professional Education coursework.
Based on the results of the diagnostic skills test candidates may be referred to the Center of Academic Success to receive writing assistance. Grammar workshops will be offered online during the fourth and fifth weeks (approximately) for each semester. These workshops are now available through Desire to Learn It is your responsibility to contact Clint Edwards (coewritingplus@gmail.com) to ensure access to each of the online grammar workshops.
Please note, if you do not attend and pass the required grammar workshop(s), you will not be able to register for Professional Education courses or apply to the professional education program.
