Basic Skills Exam
The Basic Skills examination includes three subtests: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Examinees may take one, two, or all three subtests at one test appointment.

All applicants for a first-time Minnesota teaching license must complete the tests in reading, writing, and mathematics.
|Note: the cost of the exam is $25 per subtest plus an annual registration fee of $50. The annual registration fee is paid once per test program year, September 1–August 31, regardless of number of tests taken.|
