Welcome to the Maverick Battalion, Army ROTC, at Minnesota State University Mankato. Our classes are held in Wiecking Center on the campus of Minnesota State University Mankato. Through a partnership with MNSU, students enrolled at Gustavus Adolphus College and Bethany Lutheran College may take military science classes by enrolling there and attending at MNSU.

Why ROTC?

Do you want to read about history or be a part of it?

Start Strong in life – enroll in Minnesota State University Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), the college elective for undergraduate and graduate students that provides unrivalled leadership training for success in any career field. Whether you’re in high school, college or already in the Army, you can become an officer in today’s Army through joining ROTC.

Minnesota State University Army ROTC offers merit-based scholarships that can pay up to the full cost of tuition and open educational opportunities with options to serve in the Reserve, National Guard or Active Duty components.

Only men and women of outstanding character and drive will become U.S. Army Officers. Officers are the managers of the Army. They are tasked with making important decisions in stressful situations, and they are entrusted with the safety of the men and women under their command.
