- AIAA student section at MSU is being founded. Students from Mechanical Engineering and Aviation are current members. Others are welcome. - Associate Professor Dr. Nihad E. Daidzic is a new Aviation Department Chair starting with July 2008.
- Prof. Joel Pat McKinzie is on sabbatical leave for the 2008/2009 year.
- Please welcome new Aviation faculty, Assistant Professor Thomas L. Peterson. He is a retired Air Force pilot and a FO in B767 for Airborne Express. He is also type-rated in B-747, B-757, and B-707/720. Prof. peterson will be teaching Instrument Pilot Flight Theory, Introduction into Aviation, and Advanced Flight Operations. Mr. Peterson is joining us in Fall 2008.
