Christopher Schmidt is serving as Adjunct Faculty within the MSU,Mankato Aviation Program teaching both Commercial Pilot Ground School and Regional Airline Operations. Chris logged his first flight hours over 13 years ago and has been an avid aviator ever since. Presently employed by Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chris currently holds the position of First Officer in a United Express Canadair Regional Jet based in Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Holding pilot ratings including Commercial Airplane Single and Multi-Engine Land, Single Engine Sea, Flight Instructor Ratings including CFI, CFII, MEI, and FAR Part 121 airline operational experience; Chris has a wide variety of experience to draw upon for his classes. Having graduated from MSU,M's Aviation Program in 2001 Chris has an Aviation Management Major, with Business Administration and Economics Minors. Outside of aviation Chris volunteers time with the Boy Scouts of America, enjoys athletic activities, and recently purchased a motorcycle.
