To provide aspiring and practicing district level school leaders with the opportunity to enrich their leadership skills and build district–wide leadership capacity focused on improving student achievement.
The purpose of the Leadership Series is to provide a realistic, practitioner–focused analysis of the dynamics of leadership. The Series connects participants with high performing school leaders from all levels of PK–16 schools as well as high performing leaders from other organizational settings. Participants and leaders will collaboratively process the presented knowledge, skills, and techniques together.
The Leadership Series consists of three 2–day sessions. The sessions are framed around research
based leadership standards:
(a) State of Minnesota Administration
Licensure Standards,
(b) Standards for Advanced Programs for Educational Leaders, National Policy Board for Educational
Administration,
(c) Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELLC),
(d) Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC), and
(e) American Association of School Administrators (AASA).
