The MSU Mankato Professional School Counseling Program has one of the most rigorous and demanding practicum and internship requirements of any MS-degree counseling program in the country. Interns are required to spend 800 on-site hours spread over the complete academic year at both the elementary and secondary levels in order to be eligible for K-12 licensure in Minnesota. MSU Mankato interns are expected to exhibit and perform at the professional level both on the MSU Mankato campus and within the community.
Evaluation criteria are found in this section. These criteria are geared to meet MSU Mankato PSCP expectations, state licensure requirements, and national CACREP standards.
