This
lesson specifically relates to learning area eight in career investigation.
Students will determine person interest, aptitude, and abilities. They will establish a career action
plan, including a program that meets their desired goals. They will also investigate a career
through research and evaluate the appropriateness of the career based on life
goals and personal attributes.
This
lesson also relates to the Career Development Competencies by Area and
Level. It focuses on educational
and occupational exploration by engaging student in career exploration. It will develop the skills to locate,
evaluate, and interpret career information. By researching a variety of careers, students will have the
skills to search, and the ability to set future career goals.
