Admission to Specialist Program in Educational LeadershipPage address: http://ed.mnsu.edu/edleadership/admissionspec.html
WITH ADMINISTRATIVE LICENSURE
Since the Specialist in Educational Leadership with administrative licensure is sensitive to sequence, we offer this program in a cohort model. A prerequisite of this program is a Masters degree.
We request that students being admitted to this program join a cohort. This will ensure that the courses necessary will be offered in the order in which students need them. See this web page for detailed instructions about cohort opportunities.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will have a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and be eligible to apply for administrative licensure through the Minnesota Department of Education.
Non-international students should apply for admission at least six weeks before the semester begins to ensure that the admission process is complete prior to the last date to register. Information about international student admission: http://grad.mnsu.edu/applying/internationalletter.html
WITHOUT ADMINISTRATIVE LICENSURE
Students who would like to earn a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership without licensure will need to consult with a faculty member to design a custom plan of study based on the students desired learning outcomes.
Specialist students who are not seeking administrative licensure do not need to join a cohort; they should complete an application for admission and follow the instructions provided.
