Be an Educational Leader
The Master of Science in Educational Leadership prepares people for leadership in educational settings including formal, informal, traditional, alternative, and innovative. Students include those focused on careers in public, private, and charter K-12 schools, higher education, non-profit and other education-related agencies.
As a Master’s student, you’ll engage in study of learning theories and best practices employed by successful leaders. You’ll develop a better understanding of your own leadership strengths. You’ll increase your repertoire of communication and problem-solving skills. Overall, you’ll gain the knowledge required to become a globally competent, ethical leader, ready to advance your community and your world.
The M.S. in Educational Leadership uses a hybrid instructional model and is offered consistently at two locations, Minnesota State University Mankato campus and our Edina-Twin Cities metro site, 7700 France Avenue.

Plan of Study
The master’s in Educational Leadership is a 34 credit program. Students complete a minimum of 24 credits within the department from a recommended plan of study.
