Field experiences are a vital component in the teacher preparation program. Future teachers in MSU's Elementary Education programs will complete several field experiences as part of their preparation. The most intense of these experiences are:
Elementary Education Students
The two Block field experiences are designed to prepare the future teacher for student teaching, and are in fact in the nature of a mini-student teaching experience.
Early Childhood Education Students
1. A 12-hour site observation completed as part of EEC201 - Introduction to Early Childhood
2. A 30-hour experience with infants or toddlers as part of EEC366
3. A 30-hour experience in one preschool environment as part of EEC369.
4. A 3-week, full-day experience as part of the EEC441.
