Clinical Experiences

Clinical experiences are a vital component in the teacher preparation program. Future teachers in MSU's Elementary Education programs will complete several clinicals as part of their preparation. The most intense of these experiences are:

1. A 30-hour school observation completed as part of EEC 200 - Introduction to Elementary Education.
2. A 3-week, full day experience completed near the end of the Block 1 semester.
3. A 3-week, full-day experience completed near the end of the Block 2 semester.

The two Block clinicals are designed to prepare the future teacher for student teaching, and are in fact in the nature of a mini-student teaching experience.
