Elementary Education: K-6 LicensurePage address: http://ed.mnsu.edu/eec/programs/ee/
Students in this program study a broad base of content and pedagogical knowledge to become skilled teachers in elementary classrooms. They engage in field experiences in area schools at each stage of their education courses, culminating in a student teaching experience. This process allows them to apply for a Minnesota teaching license in grades K-6.
In addition, each elementary education major has the option of expanding his or her scope of licensure to middle school. At this time, we have approval from the Board of Teaching to offer the grades 5 through 8 licensure endorsement in general science.
