Final Steps to Completing the Certificate or Master's Degree Program

During the Semester of your graduation

• Note: University policy requires graduate students to register for at least one credit during the semester that they plan to graduate.
• Details about graduation, including a checklist from the Graduate Studies can be reviewed at http://grad.mnsu.edu/programrequirements.html

The following forms should be completed by the students and signed by the committee members. Both of these are then submitted to Graduate Studies.

• Application for Graduation.
• Recommendation for Awarding the Certificate/Master's degree

Deadlines for submitting the forms as well as the Alternate Plan Paper and Thesis are at  http://grad.mnsu.edu/importantdates.html.

The department does not require written or oral comprehensive exams. An oral defense of the thesis is required with committee members.
