A Scholarship to Honor Enid Smale

Application Guidelines

1. The call for applications will be made early in the spring and fall semesters of each year to all students pursuing an initial licensure in business education and entering student teaching the next semester.
2. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) prior to the application deadline.
3. Completion of an application packet is required. This application packet will consist of the following:
   • an application form stating background information, rationale statement, and purpose detailing what the award would mean to the candidate (Needs) and how the award would facilitate the candidate's work in business education (Merit).
   • a resume detailing the applicant's career goals, prior experiences and experiences or memberships in professional organizations (Merit).
   • a transcript supporting the minimum 3.0 GPA.
   • the Enid Smale Scholarship Award [PDF] Rubric (28 KiB).
4. The Enid Smale Scholarship Award Committee will select the award recipient. All decisions of the Enid Smale Scholarship Award Committee are final.
5. Award recipient will be announced each fall and spring term.
