Throughout the program, candidates will be taking courses within the program and content courses, as well as completing field experiences. Participation in field experiences and student teaching requires a considerable commitment of time from the candidates, with student teaching being a full-time obligation. Often candidates must plan to take a leave of absence from their employment to participate in the field experiences and complete student teaching. Candidates receive no compensation for field experiences or student teaching and should make allowances for the loss of income.
