Transition Points

Also during this initial stage or (transition point) each candidate will write a brief statement about their own understanding of the Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice (SEP). This becomes your Baseline of information in which you will continually return to throughout the portfolio process, in order to reflect and document individual growth and learning. In addition, to completing a baseline, you will begin developing a working portfolio in which artifacts, documents, reflections, surveys (i.e., dispositions, technology, prior field experiences and the four domains) and other types of supporting material are placed for later use. The working portfolio should contain the necessary material for successful completion of transition point one and prior to beginning transition point two. If any problem or concern about your disposition, course work, etc ... become apparent they will be discussed, documented, and an assistance plan will be developed if necessary.
