The Internship in Library Media Education provides an opportunity for candidates to put theory into practice in a K-12 environment. Student enrolled in the Graduate Teaching Licensure Program will complete student teaching, not the internship. Prior to starting the internship, all candidates must complete all program requirements as listed on their plan of study. During the program requirements, many assignments will be field based and apply to the internship. Candidates in school library media centers can use this site for their internship. Since this is a K-12 licensure program, candidates will need to plan for hours in another level. For candidates currently teaching, they must plan and coordinate their internship with their building administrator. Below are the forms that should be filed with the library media program coordinator before enrolling in the internship.
