Yes, you can. You may take up to 10 credits of graduate coursework at MSU and still transfer those credits into a degree program if you later decide to pursue a full graduate degree. You will need to apply for admission as a non-degree seeking student, page two of the application form. The application form is available at http://www2.mnsu.edu/graduate/Forms/GradStudiesApp.pdf (PDF).
Your MSU tech id number is included in your letter of admission to the College of Graduate Studies. Be sure to keep track of this number. You'll need it to register, pay bills, and use library resources. The MavCard serves dual duty as picture identification and your personal identification number. MavCards are obtained by stopping at the Campus Hub in the Centennial Student Union, between 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday.
All this, and more, is available through the Registrar's Office. Clicking on course offerings and selecting the upcoming semester, Department of Educational Studies: K-12 and Secondary Programs, and graduate courses will let you view available classes for the next semester. Registration Information and Web Registration will help you complete your registration online. Clicking on Academic Transcripts will let you view and print your own.
The web page of the Campus Hub contains the needed information and forms for paying bills online at http://mnsu.edu/campushub/cashiers/index.html
