The Professional Education Program

Welcome! The Educational Studies: K-12 and Secondary Programs department's Undergraduate Programs area prepares students for initial licensure as a professional educator in a K-12 or a 5-12 classroom.

The following content areas are included:

K-12 Licensure: English as a Second Language, Vocal Music and Instrumental Music, Physical Education, Visual Arts, World Languages and Cultures (Spanish and French), and Developmental Adapted Physical Education.

5-12 Licensure: Business Education (articulation with Winona), Dance, Communications Arts and Literature, Family consumer Science, Health Science, Mathematics, Science (Life Science, Chemistry, Earth and Space, Physics), and Social Studies.

If you are interested in any of these teaching programs, this is the place for you! Our program emphasis is placed upon facilitating students to gain the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to function effectively in diverse educational settings.
