Data-driven decision making refers to using data to make decisions to adjust curriculum and instruction. Improvements occur because data about actual performance is used to determine program strengths and weaknesses rather than personal opinion. The unit relies on several decision-making parties, including university deans, advisory councils, department chairs, departments, and P-12 school partners, to review aggregate data on each program, make recommendations, and make decisions for program improvement.
