The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board and Board of School Administrators (BOSA)
The College of Education has been accredited since 1954.
The College of Education is accredited by the The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The U. S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation recognize NCATE as a professional accrediting body for teacher preparation.
The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board approves institutions and licensure programs to prepare Minnesota teachers.
School administrative licensure programs (superintendent, principal, director of special education, director of community education) receive approval through The Minnesota Board of School Administrators.
Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
Counseling and Student Personnel programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. CACREP was formed in 1981 in cooperation with the American Counseling Association to promote the advancement of quality educational programs in counselor training.
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
The Children's House, a non-profit Child Care Center on the campus of Minnesota State University- Mankato, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The NAEYC has led the way toward excellence in high-quality early care and education.

The college faculty and staff are actively engaged in several professional organizations that are directly related to P-12 education, teacher education and development, school administration, and counseling. Specific college-level membership is held in the following organizations: The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), Minnesota Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (MACTE)
