Faculty consider factors related to academic performance such as consistent repeating of courses, withdrawals, and GPA. They also consider dispositions identified as being critical for MSU candidates at admission to professional education. These include: respectful relationships, integrity, responsibility, and work ethic, commitment to teaching and professionalism. Additionally, faculty examine course completion, including specialty coursework when applicable. Information about dispositions should be obtained from introductory education coursework and from the content faculty advisor when applicable.
