Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunities

For 2009-2010 Academic Year Awards

Undergraduate education scholarship applications will be available in the Dean's Office (AH 117/AH118) on February 2, 2009.

The College of Education Scholarship Committee encourages applicants pursuing coursework in the following areas:

• Elementary Education
• Early Childhood
• Secondary & K-12 Education
• Spec. Ed.: Devel./Cog. Disabilities

Criteria for Scholarhip Applicants

1. A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.3
2. Completion of a minimum of 30 semester credits after Spring Semester, 2009
3. Students must be attending MSU full time during the 2009-2010 academic year
4. Two letters of recommendation including leadership experiences, community service and personal characteristics (One recommendation is preferred from a Minnesota State University faculty member)
5. Essay submission (2 pg. max.) stating qualifications and need if applicable

Application deadline is Tuesday, March 3, 2009
Awards will be announced on April 9, 2009
