The Department of Special Education at Minnesota State University, Mankato offers graduate programs in the areas of Learning Disabilities (LD), Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Developmental Disabiliities (DD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) that are designed to prepare professionals to work with students with disabilities in school settings. Completion of these programs leads to special education licensure and, potentially, a Master's Degree in Special Education.
