Classroom Curriculum

The curriculum at The Children’ s House is developed by the lead teachers using the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress for children Birth to 8 years of age and the National Assoc. for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) Developmentally Appropriate Practice. In each classroom, the teacher plans daily activities that are available to all children throughout the day in the areas of Social & Emotional development, children’s approaches to learning, Language, & Literacy development, Communication, Creativity & the Arts, Cognitive development, and Physical & Motor development.

Our play-based philosophy provides children with imaginative activities both teacher and child guided, that allow them to develop their skills in math, science, creative arts, language development, self help skills, and literacy while exploring their environment.
