Andrew Moss, Captain
Captain Andrew Moss commissioned as a Quartermaster in the Minnesota Army National Guard through the state Officer Candidate School Class 57 in 2013. He spent 3 years as a fuel and water Platoon Leader with A Distribution Company of the 134 Brigade Support Battalion. While there he attended the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Lee, Virginia in 2014, the exportable Combat Training Capability exercise in 2015 and a rotation at the National Training Center in 2016. Then he worked as an Assistant S-3 with the Headquarters & Headquarters Company in 2017 before becoming the Executive Officer for G Forward Support Company and attending Logistics Captains Career Course in 2018. He now belongs to the Recruiting & Retention Battalion and serves as a liaison between MSU cadets and the Minnesota Army National Guard.
Before working full time with the military as a Management Analyst Apprentice and Training Officer, CPT Moss taught for 10 years in public, private and international high schools. In addition, he also counseled students in college and career choices as a School Counselor. He holds a BS in Physical Science from Biola University and a MA in Spiritual Formation from Talbot School of Theology. His awards include an Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Guard Component’s Achievement Medal with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, the National Defense Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, the Minnesota State Service Ribbon with 5-Year Device, and the Hasting’s Award.
