Availability. Teacher candidates complete their B.S. in Elementary Education in Mankato
Real World experience. Our program is unique in that we offer vastly more field experience than is required by state licensors. Our students receive up to six semesters of service learning and/or in-classroom training.
Global Experiences. We go beyond the classroom and community borders, offering experiences for our teaching students in Costa Rica, Texas, Kenya and Norway.
Accreditation. Minnesota State Mankato’s Elementary Education program is approved by Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
Culturally and racially relevant teaching. We are committed to increasing our teacher candidates’ critical thinking skills and preparing them to provide high quality, equitable education to all elementary-age students. As a teacher preparation program, we are intentional about welcoming students from a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences.
