Reading education works best when it honors diversity and holds to high international standards. The College of Education’s M.S. in Reading does both. The program is designed for current teachers or administrators interested in the latest evidence-based findings in reading instruction for K-12 students.
The M.S. in Reading program at Minnesota State Mankato focuses on the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse readers. The fully online, asynchronous delivery method allows students to earn a degree at their own pace while juggling the realities of life and work.
Unique course content includes Response to Intervention (RTI), Content area reading instruction, literacy for culturally and linguistically diverse students and a strong emphasis in the link between assessment and instruction.
