Eligibility and How to Apply
Eligibility
- Special Education Teachers: Licensed educators with a bachelor’s degree. Applicants with other teaching licenses may be considered.
- School Psychology Students: Eligible in their 2nd or 3rd year of graduate study.
Program Expectations
Project LEAP-It Scholars will:
- Take courses in academic and behavioral problem-solving and evidence-based assessment and teaching methods.
- Participate in supervised school-based experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty and classmates to support students with high-intensity academic and behavioral needs.
Core Competencies
Through experiences, scholars will develop skills in:
- Data-based individualization
- Evidence-based academic and behavioral practices
- Responsible and effective use of AI
- Collaboration and partnerships
