CPT Erick Heaney commissioned from the United States Military Academy in 2015 as an Air Defense Officer. He has attended the Basic Officer Course and Captain’s Career Course as part of the Army’s Professional Military Education. Additionally, he has attended specialized courses such as Air Assault, Sensor Manager Qualification Course, Sensor Manager Leader Development Course, Air Defense and Air Management / Brigade Aviation Element Course, Terminal High Altitude Air Defense Course, Military History Instructor Course, and the Commander’s Course.
CPT Erick Heaney has served in company grade positions to include Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Battery Commander. He’s served in staff positions such as Assistant Battalion Operations Officer and Sensor Manger OIC. He currently serves as the Assistant Military Professor of Military Science for the MNSU ROTC program.
CPT Heaney holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Leadership Arts, and is currently earning his Ed.D at MNSU.
