Admission Requirements and Application Instructions
Before beginning the application process, please read through the admissions requirements to ensure that all necessary requirements have been met.
The graduate application instructions and general requirements can be found at Graduate Application Instructions. In addition to the general requirements for the Minnesota State University, Mankato, the following are additional requirements for acceptance into the Master of Science in Aviation Safety program.
Admission Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.70 (based on A=4.00 scale) for all undergraduate work.
- Official transcripts from each college or university at which the applicant has completed course work.
- A Statement of Purpose essay of approximately 300-500 words describing the applicant’s academic/professional background, the purpose of continuing graduate studies, and the long-term professional goals.
- A current resume outlining the applicant’s educational and work experiences.
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- Minimum TOEFL iBT score of 61 or a minimum IELTS score of 5.5
- Credential Evaluation prepared by a National Association of Credentials Evaluation Service member
