The Office of Field and International Experience provides teacher candidates with real-world experiences in classrooms both close to home and around the globe. Our students are prepared and confident in the classroom because they contribute to the learning experience by co-teaching with mentor teachers.
Co-Teaching Model
Our teaching experience includes four levels of intentional field experience. Each level builds on the previous level, and each incorporates our co-teaching model, in which teacher candidates work collaboratively with mentor teachers.

Background Check
All students involved in field experiences, volunteering, or tutoring programs offered by the College of Education will be required to have, at minimum, one background check completed prior to involvement in these opportunities.
Liability Insurance
All students participating in a field experience in a K-12 setting must be covered by professional liability insurance.
