Directions for Completing the Aviation Credit for Prior Learning Form: 

1. Navigate to Registration and Academic Records on the MSU website. 
2. Scroll down to the Credit for Prior Learning and download the form. 
3. Open the form and complete the following fields exactly as indicated: 
   
   • Course Subject and Number 
     • Enter: AVIA 151 or AVIA 153 
   • Number of Credits 
     • Enter: 2 credits for AVIA 151 
     • Enter: 1 credit for AVIA 153 
   • Course Title 
     • Enter: Private Pilot I for AVIA 151 
     • Enter: Private Pilot 2 for AVIA 153 
   • Description of Previous Background or Experience That Justifies This Request 
     • Enter: Completed flight training prior to enrolling at MSU. (This statement applies to both AVIA 151 and AVIA 153.)
4. Complete all remaining sections of the form with your personal and academic information as required. 
5. Review the form carefully to ensure all information is accurate before submitting it.
