Director of Community Education

The pathway leading to a recommendation for Minnesota Director of Community Education licensure is through a specifically developed plan of study which results in a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. The plan of study for the Director of Community Education is aligned directly with the licensure competencies set forth by the Minnesota Administrative Rule, 3512, Licensure of School Personnel.

 

Delivery Model

The plan of study for the Director of Community Education results in a Master of Science degree and a recommendation for administrative licensure is delivered using a hybrid cohort model. The classes are held on Saturdays, one class in the morning and one class in the afternoon. The classes meet five times per semester, with the remaining coursework to be done online and/or during internship experiences in schools or community education settings.
