Assessment & Research in the College of Education
The Office of Assessment and Research (OAR) supports the College of Education (COE) in maintaining and advancing quality programs through effective use of data in planning and decision making. OAR meets rapidly increasing demand for leadership and guidance in accreditation and external reporting, data systems and processes that ensure rigor and facilitate timely reporting, quality information on student outcomes and program effectiveness, and usable evidence to support continuous improvement.
OAR facilitates ongoing approval and accreditation of COE programs that produce well-prepared and highly qualified professionals who go on to serve the state, region, and global community as educators, counselors, leaders, pilots, and military professionals, among other in-demand occupations.
The College of Education reports annually to the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) on performance in areas of public interest.
The College of Education reports annually in accordance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEA, 2008) sections 205 to 208 of Title II.
Anthology Portfolio (formerly Chalk & Wire) is a web-based software used by the College of Education to assign and document field experience and student teaching placements and to collect other assessment data.
