AVID

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a nonprofit that changes lives by helping schools shift to a more equitable, student-centered approach. AVID for Higher Education (AHE) works with two-year and four-year colleges and universities to implement a holistic approach to accelerating student success. Faculty integrate AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) strategies into their coursework. Teacher candidates have the opportunity to become AVID tutors in partner schools and to use strategies they learn in their own field experience teaching.
