Career Opportunities

A B.S. in Aviation prepares students for a wide range of career opportunities within the field.

Depending on interests and degree concentration, job titles could include:

  • Professional pilot in a corporate, commercial or military setting
  • Flight instructor
  • Airport or airline administrator
  • Airline dispatcher or air traffic controller

Effective August 1, 2016, the Aviation programs and courses do not qualify for GI Bill® or VA education benefits. Please consult with the Registrar’s Office for guidance.

Aviation Enrollment Process

To best support our Aviation students, Minnesota State University, Mankato will implement a limit on the number of new students that will be allowed into the Professional Flight Emphasis in the Aviation B.S. program at the university beginning with students applying for a fall of 2025 start.
