Career Opportunities
A B.S. in Aviation prepares students for a wide range of career opportunities within the field.
Depending on interests and degree concentration, job titles could include:
- Professional pilot in a corporate, commercial or military setting
- Flight instructor
- Airport or airline administrator
- Airline dispatcher or air traffic controller
Aviation Enrollment Process
To best support our Aviation students, Minnesota State University, Mankato will implement a limit on the number of new students that will be allowed into the Professional Flight Emphasis in the Aviation B.S. program at the university beginning with students applying for a fall of 2025 start.

The 100% Online Master of Science in Aviation Safety program is designed to meet the needs of the aviation industry by providing advanced graduate-level study that is preferred by many employers in the aviation field.
