Anthology Portfolio Faculty and Staff Resources

Anthology Portfolio is a web-based software used by the College of Education to assign and document field experience and student teaching placements and to collect other assessment data.

The College of Education began using Anthology Portfolio, formerly known as Chalk and Wire, as its assessment software in August 2020. Chalk and Wire replaced Tk20 and has proven to be an upgrade in functionality and economy. There is no fee for students or assessors to use Anthology Portfolio.

As a software system, Anthology Portfolio provides two main functions:

  1. A system for documenting field experience and student teaching placements and for generating and collecting assessments from supervisors, mentor teachers, and students during placements.
  2. A platform for collecting key assessment data in courses and programs. Anthology Portfolio provides the platform, and the program faculty provide the content.

The Office of Assessment and Research (OAR) manages Anthology Portfolio and works closely with the Office of Field and International Experience to make and maintain all of the student teaching and field experience placements.

OAR  works with program faculty to develop portfolios for key assessment data collection and provides training and guidance for students and assessors.
